Fluoridation and the Thyroid

The Effects of Fluoride on the Thyroid Gland

There is a daunting amount of research studies showing that the widely acclaimed benefits on fluoride dental health are more imagined than real. Fluorides are cumulative and build up steadily with ingestion of fluoride from all sources, which include not just water, but the air we breathe and the food we eat. With 141 million Europeans now at risk from fluoridation poisoning, Dr Barry Durrant-Peatfield discusses the dangers of fluorides in general and particular, explains in great detail their highly damaging effects on the thyroid gland.

A Statement from the National Pure Water Association

Artificial fluoridation of public water supplies was first practised in America in 1945 and was from the outset highly controversial. It has been rejected by most European countries except for Eire (where it is mandatory); and England, where 5.5 million people are now medicated, mainly in and around the cities of Birmingham and Newcastle-on-Tyne. This statement from National Pure Water Association was prepared for the Rotherham Scrutiny Review held on February 19, 2007.

Fifty Years of Fluoridation: Part I

Very few topics have polarised public and political opinion more sharply than fluoridation of the water supply. The NPWA's Elizabeth McDonagh discusses in detail this highly controversial practice over the past 50 years, and the results are surprising, to say the very least.

Fifty Years of Fluoridation: Part II

With the Government's plans to fluoridate the nation's water supplies, this critical topic once again enters public consciousness. The NPWA's Elizabeth McDonagh returns with Part II of this detailed account of the events surrounding a 1992 Yorkshire consultation.
